Paul Contradicts Apostles

Salvation by believing?

You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.

JAMES 2:19

If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

ROMANS 10:9

Widows

Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

JAMES 1:27

Honor widows who are actually widows; but if any widow has children or grandchildren, they must first learn to show proper respect for their own family and to give back compensation to their parents; for this is acceptable in the sight of God.

1 TIMOTHY 5:3-4

A widow is to be put on the list only if she is not less than sixty years old, having been the wife of one man.

1 TIMOTHY 5:9

Eating things sacrificed to idols. Also – Did Paul truly deliver the message?

But that we write to them that they abstain from things contaminated by idols …

ACTS 15:20

Therefore, concerning the eating of food sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is nothing at all in the world, and that there is no God but one … however, not all people have this knowledge; but some being accustomed to the idol until now, eat food as if it were sacrificed to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled. Now food will not bring us close to God; we are neither the worse if we do not eat, nor the better if we do eat. But take care that this freedom of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak. For if someone sees you, the one who has knowledge, dining in an idol’s temple, will his conscience, if he is weak, not be strengthened to eat things sacrificed to idols?

1 CORINTHIANS 8:4-10

James and Cephas and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, so that we might go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised. They only asked us to remember the poor—the very thing I also was eager to do.

GALATIONS 2:10

Justification by works or by faith

But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless?

JAMES 2:20

You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.

JAMES 2:24

For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.

ROMANS 3:28

Righteous men

not as Cain … Because his own deeds were evil, but his brother’s were righteous.

1 JOHN 3:12

And her husband Joseph, since he was a righteous man …

MATTHEW 1:19

In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah, of the division of Abijah; and he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord.

LUKE 1:5-6

And there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; and this man was righteous and devout,

LUKE2:25

and if He rescued righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the perverted conduct of unscrupulous people (for by what he saw and heard that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds)

2 PETER 2:7-8

And a man named Joseph, who was a member of the Council, a good and righteous man

LUKE 23:50

For if a law had been given that was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law.

GALATIANS 3:21

nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified.

GALATIANS 2:16

… for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.

GALATIANS 2:21

… because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight

ROMANS 3:20

You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

GALATIANS 5:4

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

EPHESIANS 2:8-9

So then, it does not depend on the person who wants it nor the one who runs, but on God who has mercy.

ROMANS 9:16

For all who are of works of the Law are under a curse

GALATIANS 3:10-12

Paul an Apostle?

Therefore it is necessary that of the men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us— beginning with the baptism of John until the day that He was taken up from us—one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.” … And they drew lots for them, and the lot fell to Matthias; and he was added to the eleven apostles.

GALATIANS 1:1

Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord? 2 If I am not an apostle to others, at least I am to you; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

1 CORINTHIANS 9:1-2

Could Paul be this “Apostle”?

Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars

REVELATION 2:1-2

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus

EPHESIANS 1:1

Do you have a Paul contradiction you think we missed?
