Paul Contradicts Torah
Does righteousness come through following the Torah?
DEUTERONOMY 6:25
I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.
GALATIANS 2:21
Now, that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for “the righteous one will live by faith”
GALATIANS 3:10-11
Righteous by obeying? or by belief?
Then he believed in Yahweh; and He credited it to him as righteousness.
GENESIS 15:6
I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because Abraham obeyed Me and fulfilled his duty to Me, and kept My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.”
GENESIS 26:4-5
ROMANS 4:1-5
How to treat widows (is Paul breaking the command not to add or subtract from The Law?)
EXODUS 22:22-23
Honor widows who are actually widows; but if any widow has children or grandchildren, they must first learn to show proper respect for their own family and to give back compensation to their parents; for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
1 TIMOTHY 5:3-4
A widow is to be put on the list only if she is not less than sixty years old, having been the wife of one man, having a reputation for good works; and if she has brought up children, if she has shown hospitality to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has assisted those in distress, and if she has devoted herself to every good work. But refuse to register younger widows, for when they feel physical desires alienating them from Christ, they want to get married, thereby incurring condemnation because they have ignored their previous pledge. At the same time they also learn to be idle, as they go around from house to house; and not merely idle, but also they become gossips and busybodies, talking about things not proper to mention. Therefore, I want younger widows to get married, have children, manage their households, and give the enemy no opportunity for reproach; for some have already turned away to follow Satan. If any woman who is a believer has dependent widows, she must assist them and the church must not be burdened, so that it may assist those who are actually widows.
1 TIMOTHY 5:9-16
Who rules the earth?
Therefore know today, and take it to your heart, that the LORD, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other.
DEUTERONOMY 4:39
in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they will not see the light
2 CORINTHIANS 4:4
Eating things sacrificed to idols
Take care … lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and when they whore after their gods and sacrifice to their gods and you are invited, you eat of his sacrifice …
EXODUS 34:12,16
Anyone from the house of Israel who slaughters an ox, a lamb, or a goat in the camp, or slaughters it outside the camp, and has not brought it to the doorway of the tent of meeting to present it as an offering to Yahweh in front of the tabernacle of Yahweh, bloodshed is to be counted against that person. He has shed blood, and that person shall be cut off from among his people. This shall be done, so that the sons of Israel will bring their sacrifices which they were sacrificing in the open field – so that they will bring them to Yahweh … and they shall no longer offer their sacrifices to the goat demons … this shall be a permanent statute to them throughout their generations.
LEVITICUS 17:3-7
Therefore, concerning the eating of food sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is nothing at all in the world, and that there is no God but one.
1 CORINTHIANS 8:4
Eat anything that is sold in the meat market without asking questions, for the sake of conscience.
1 CORINTHIANS 10:25
Long hair for men
NUMBERS 6:1-5
1 CORINTHIANS 11:14
Who is under the curse?
DEUTERONOMY 27:26
You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
GALATIANS 5:4
For all who are of works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all the things written in the book of the Law, to do them.”
GALATIANS 3:10
Righteousness
GENESIS 6:9
… for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.
GALATIANS 2:21
… because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight
ROMANS 3:20
Clean / Unclean food
LEVITICUS 11:4-8
You are therefore to make a distinction between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean bird and the clean; and you shall not make yourselves detestable by animal or by bird, or by anything that crawls on the ground, which I have distinguished for you as unclean. So you are to be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have singled you out from the peoples to be Mine.
LEVITICUS 20:25-26
I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but to the one who thinks something is unclean, to that person it is unclean.
ROMANS 14:14
All things indeed are clean, but they are evil for the person who eats and causes offense.
ROMANS 14:20
Sabbath Day
GENESIS 2:2-3
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. For six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the Lord your God; on it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male slave or your female slave, or your cattle, or your resident who stays with you. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and everything that is in them, and He rested on the seventh day; for that reason the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
EXODUS 20:8-11
One person values one day over another, another values every day the same. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind.
ROMANS 14:5
Do you have a Paul contradiction you think we missed?
