Paul Contradicts Jesus

Is Jesus the end of the law?

Do not presume that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke of a letter shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished!

MATTHEW 5:17

For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

ROMANS 10:4

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us

GALATIANS 3:13

But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.

ROMANS 7:6

For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the hostility, which is the Law composed of commandments expressed in ordinances…

EPHESIANS 2:14-15

How to enter life/be saved

if you want to enter life, keep the commandments

MATTHEW 19:17

For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the Law.

ROMANS 3:28

If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved.

ROMANS 10:9

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

ROMANS 10:13

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

EPHESIANS 2:8-9

“Is Paul our father?”

But as for you, do not be called Rabbi; for only One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth your father, for only One is your Father; He who is in heaven.

MATTHEW 23:8-9

For if you were to have countless tutors in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.

1 CORINTHIANS 4:15

For this I was appointed as a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

1 TIMOTHY 2:7

And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps administrations, and kinds of tongues.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:28

Missing the main part?

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Upon these two commandments hang the whole Law and the Prophets.”

MATTHEW 22:36-40

For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

GALATIANS 5:14

Free or paid?

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

MATTHEW 10:8

If we sowed spiritual things in you, is it too much if we reap material things from you?

1 CORINTHIANS 9:11

Should we love or curse?

But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may prove yourselves to be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous, For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Even the tax collectors, do they not do the same? And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others? Even the Gentiles, do they not do the same?

MATTHEW 5:44

If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed.

1 CORINTHIANS 16:22

Blasphemy

Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.

MATTHEW 12:31

Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan, so that they will be taught not to blaspheme.

1 TIMOTHY 1:20

Who should we imitate?

My sheep listen to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me

JOHN 10:27

Therefore I urge you, be imitators of me.

1 CORINTHIANS 4:16

Eating things sacrificed to idols

But I have a few things against you, because you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit sexual immorality.

REVELATION 2:14

Therefore, concerning the eating of food sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is nothing at all in the world, and that there is no God but one. For even if there are so-called gods whether in heaven or on earth, as indeed there are many gods and many lords, yet for us there is only one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.

However, not all people have this knowledge; but some, being accustomed to the idol until now, eat food as if it were sacrificed to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled. Now food will not bring us close to God; we are neither the worse if we do not eat, nor the better if we do eat. But take care that this freedom of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.

1 CORINTHIANS 8-4-9

Eat anything that is sold in the meat market without asking questions, for the sake of conscience.

1 CORINTHIANS 10:25

How to attain forgiveness?

Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned.

LUKE 6:37

For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.

MATTHEW 6:14-15

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to the riches of His grace.

EPHESIANS 1:7

Calling Jesus “Lord”

Now why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?

LUKE 6:46

Therefore I make it known to you that … no one can say “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:3

Can you enter life by confessing and believing while not keeping the law (practicing lawlessness)?

Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; leave me, you who practice lawlessness.’

MATTHEW 7:21-23

I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.

GALATIANS 2:21

That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

ROMANS 10:9

Who will be judging? The 12 apostles or “you”?

You are the ones who have stood by Me in My trials; and just as My Father has granted Me a kingdom, I grant you that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

LUKE 22:28-30

And Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel”

MATTHEW 19:28

Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? If the world is judged by you, are you not competent to form the smallest law courts? Do you not know that we will judge angels?

1 CORINTHIANS 6:2-3

Lord of the “dead”? and who is the “Lord of the living?”

He is not the God of the dead, but of the living

MARK 12:27

Now He is not the God of the dead, but of the living

LUKE 20:38

For to this end Christ died and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.

ROMANS 14:9

Instructions on how to pray

When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. But as for you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

MATTHEW 6:5-6

Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger and dispute.

1 TIMOTHY 2:8

Belief followed by falling away

Those on the rocky soil are the ones who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and yet these do not have a firm root; they believe for a while, and in a time of temptation they fall away.

LUKE 8:13

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord

ROMANS 8:38

Is eternal life a gift or is it a reward?

So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.

LUKE 14:33

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or fathers or mother or children or farms on account of My name, will receive many times as much, and will inherit eternal life.

MATTHEW 19:29

… the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

ROMANS 6:23

Feeding those who are not working

Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? And when did we see You as a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me.’

MATTHEW 25:34-43

For even when we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either.

2 THESSALONIANS 3:10

For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.

ROMANS 3:28

“Signs, wonders, and miracles” = true apostle??

For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect

MARK 13:22

The distinguishing marks of a true apostle were performed among you with all perseverance, by signs, wonders, and miracles.

2 CORINTHIANS 12:12

Paul said Jesus is the Messiah and the day is near (could Jesus have been speaking about people like Paul?)

And He said, “See to it that you are not misled; for many will come in My name, saying ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time is near,’ Do not go after them.

LUKE 21:8

The night is almost gone, and the day is near.

ROMANS 13:12

The 12 disciples had the authority to cast out demons, but Paul was himself tormented by a messenger of Satan

Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every sickness.

MATTHEW 10:1

Now He called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all the demons, and the power to heal diseases.

LUKE 9:1

Because of the extraordinary greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me—to keep me from exalting myself! Concerning this I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might leave me. And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.”

2 CORINTHIANS 12:7-9

Did Paul see the “false christ” that Jesus foretold?

Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘He is over here,’ do not believe him. For false christs and false prophets will arise and will provide great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. Behold, I have told you in advance. So if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them. For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

MATTHEW 24:23-27

Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?

1 CORINTHIANS 9:1

Now as he was traveling, it happened that he was approaching Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him; and he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” And He said, “I am Jesus whom you are persecuting,  but get up and enter the city, and it will be told to you what you must do.”

ACTS 9:3-6

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus

1 CORINTHIANS 11:23

Who chose Paul to be an apostle?

I know your deeds and your labor and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil people, and you have put those who call themselves apostles to the test, and they are not, and you found them to be false;

REVELATION 2:2

And when day came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also named as apostles:

LUKE 6:13

For this I was appointed as a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

1 TIMOTHY 2:7

Paul’s doctrine/tradition

This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me. And in vain do they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men

MATTHEW 15:8-9

Now I praise you because you remember me in everything and hold firmly to the traditions, just as I handed them down to you

1 CORINTHIANS 11:2

Can a person be righteous by obeying Heavenly Father’s instructions (the “Law”)?

so that upon you will fall the guilt of all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah

MATTHEW 23:35

I have not come to call the righteous to repentance, but sinners.

LUKE 5:32

unless you repent, you will all likewise perish

LUKE 13:5

From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

MATTHEW 4:17

For if a law had been given that was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law.

GALATIANS 3:21

Nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified.

GALATIANS 2:16

… for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.

GALATIANS 2:21

… because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight

ROMANS 3:20

You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

GALATIANS 5:4

So then, it does not depend on the person who wants it nor the one who runs, but on God who has mercy.

ROMANS 9:16

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

GALATIANS 2:8-9

For all who are of works of the Law are under a curse;

GALATIANS 3:10-12

Do you have a Paul contradiction you think we missed?
